Sport Shirts
Washable Fabrics Will Make
Slack Sets More Popular; Polo,
'T' Shirts To Be FashionableI
Appealing combinations of style,
comfort and utility will be featured
in th new sport shirts and slack sets
which will be offered in refreshing
fabrics and colors this summer.
Practical-minded men will welcome
the announcement that manufactur-
ers have developed new high quality
washable fabrics. This advantage
should make the neat-appearing'
slack suits more popular than ever
because dry cleaning will no longer
,be necessary.,
New Werers For T-Shirts #
The classic "T" shirt, never extinct,
will find many new wearers during
the coming season. Shown in solid
colors and bold stipings, polo and
"T" shirts will be made in wrinkle-
resistant spun rayon and cotton ma-
terials. Wearing qualities are said to
be better than ever.
Of interest is a new gabardine shirt
which can be worn either with a
jauntily open collar or with a tie-
but neatly. This shirt should answer
a long-standing and just need, for
it is not only two-purpose but it has
the unique feature of being immedi-
ately convertible.
Covert cloth, long a favorite for
top coats and suits, will be offered
in several shades of long-sleeved
shirts. These shirts, light and ab-
sorbent, should be exceptionally
pleasing.
Ease And Camfort
Styled for ease and comfort, the
new sports ensembles will give satis-
faction to all with their non-sloppy
fit and appearance. Prices, although
generally rising, are not expected to
affect these clothes unduly as im-
proved quality will much enhance
actual value.-
Solid colors promise to stay in the
top rank though white will not havei
its usual vogue. Pastels will be the
newest innovation and are slated toI
be a big hit.I
Greater styling seems assured with
long sleeves offering a threat to short
sleeved garments.
You Can Wear A Hat
In The Summer, Too
Hats, one or more of which is ac-;
cepted as a matter of course in almost
every winter wardrobe, are all too1
frequently neglected when the warmI
weather arrives.
This important article of apparel,
though, finds itself of quite equal
importance in the months of outdoor
activity. Beside completing the ap-i
pearance of summer dress a hat keeps1
one's head appreciably cooler. It
also resists the attacks of the elementsi
upon the hair, and helps avoid the
aspect of Wild Hair Walter and
Billiard Ball Bill.1

Summer Shoes
1Should Be Part
Of Wardrobe
This summer, as always, the well-
dressed young man must include the
latest in shoes in his wardrobe for
that completing touch to his warm-
weather outfit. And as wide a variety
as ever can be found along State
Street, to suit the most discriminat-
ing taste.
Still "tops" in popularity is the
white shoe, which can be found in all
styles and leathers. Thesgreat popu-
larity of this type of shoe is un-
doubtedly due to its all-around use-
fulness-suitable for town and coun-
try, afternoon and evening, sports
and general wear.
A c omparatively new style leader
which has made a phenomenal rise
within the last two years is the moc-
casin type shoe. Comfort is the key-
note, as a flexible or semi-flexible
sole is employed in construction. This
shoe is offered in an extremely wide
range of styles, from the simple moc-
casin with a rubber sole to a well-
groomed shoe which resembles the
original only in construction prin-
ciple. The moccasin is the ideal shoe
for the person who prefers to dress
casually and comfortably when the
mercury soars.
Two-tones are coming back. An ex-
perimental period last summer, at-
tempting a revival of the once-popu-
lar model which had all but dis-
appeared from the market, resulted
in a huge success. This year again,
therefore, these natty tan and white
combinations will again be on the
"must" list.
