And as wide a variety as ever can be found along State Street, to suit the most discriminat- ing taste. Still "tops" in popularity is the white shoe, which can be found in all styles and leathers. Thesgreat popu- larity of this type of shoe is un- doubtedly due to its all-around use- fulness-suitable for town and coun- try, afternoon and evening, sports and general wear. A c omparatively new style leader which has made a phenomenal rise within the last two years is the moc- casin type shoe. Comfort is the key- note, as a flexible or semi-flexible sole is employed in construction. This shoe is offered in an extremely wide range of styles, from the simple moc- casin with a rubber sole to a well- groomed shoe which resembles the original only in construction prin- ciple. The moccasin is the ideal shoe for the person who prefers to dress casually and comfortably when the mercury soars. Two-tones are coming back. An ex- perimental period last summer, at- tempting a revival of the once-popu- lar model which had all but dis- appeared from the market, resulted in a huge success. This year again, therefore, these natty tan and white combinations will again be on the "must" list. I _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ . i t f-_ i y.. Y yi 4 'ti:'.-:-.'..
