Professors o
Not Understand
Money Scheme
Dr. Irving Fisher Clains
0n ly Eleven Teachers
Know Money Value
(By Intercollegiate Press)
NEW HAVEN, Conn., Jan. 10 -In
the opinion of Prof. Irving Fisher,
noted Yale economist, there are not
very many college professors in the
country who really understand the
meaning of money.
There may be some whom the Yale
professor couldn't think of right off,
he said, and there doubtless are some
whom he doesn't even know, espec-
ially younger professors who haven't
yet made names for themselves.
But the following, he said, were
all he could think of on the spot:
Harry G. Brown of the University
of Missouri; F. A. Pearson of Cor-
nell University; George Warren of
Cornell, who is monetary advisor to
President Roosevelt, and author of
the present managed money scheme;
J. Harvey Rogers of Yale; Wilford I.
King of New York University; John
R. Commons of the University of
Wisconsin; Edwin M. Kemmerer of
Princeton; Cyril James of the Uni-
versity of Pennsylvania; John H.
Williams of Harvard; and Jacob Vi-
ner of the University of Chicago.
It was noted that Prof. Fisher did
not name Dr. O. M. W. Sprague, who
recently resigned as advisor to the
Treasury and has since occupied
himself attacking the administra-
tion's monetary policy.

College Students
Thinky Music 'Sissy'
Prof tssor Declares
(By Intercollegiate Press)
LINCOLN, Neb., Jan. 10-The Na-
tional Association of Music Teachers
in convention here at the University
of Nebraska, was told by Prof. J.
Lawrence Erb, head of the depart-
ment of music at the Connecticut
College for Women, that it was re-
grettable that some college students
thought music was "sissy."
"The type of student that believe
music sissy," he said, "forgets the
many really great men who have
made music their vocation."
The New England music professor
said he believed all college students
should be encouraged to take up
some form of music for their own
enjoyment.
In a series of interviews by a mem-
ber of the Daily Cardinal, University
of Wisconsin, it was discovered that
students at the university consider
the Fourth and Fifth Commandments
the most vital ones of the ten Com-
mandments.
