Student biker injured in
State St. auto accident

By TIMOTHY YAGLE
A Univesity junior was treated for
minor injuries and released yesterday
after her bicycle was struck by a car on
S. State street in front of the LSA
building, Ann Arbor Police reported.
According to police, Eleanor Israel,
20, a Natural Resources student from
Bethesda, Md. was traversing State

street at a crosswalk just before 2 p.m.
when her bicycle was struck in the rear
by a small southbound vehicle. Police
said no arrests were made. Witnesses
said the car did not appear to be
speeding.
Israel was taken to University
Hospital suffering from a superficial
cut over her right eye, according to a
hospital spokesman.

when armed Israeli soldiers strung

as he and his 15-member delegation
