keynote speak-

Kennedy, Jr.
"You don't have to travel far
and wide to get the best treat-

with bone cancer at age 12 and
today is an advocate for the

Over the past four years, the
Sinai Guild has given $1 million
in grants that provide medical

The Guild estimates it grossed
about $150,000 at the October

event.
Funds raised this year will go

Hospital in Commerce Township
and the Barbara Ann Karmanos
Cancer Institute in Detroit.
"Several members of my fami-

have the medical research and
technology they have today:' said
Rose Rita Goldman of
Bloomfield Hills. She co-chaired
the fund-raiser with Barbara
Nemer of Franklin.
"I care a great deal about the
work of Karmanos and the Sinai
Guild:' said supporter Doreen
Hermelin of Bingham Farms.
Leading manufacturers of
breast imaging and biopsy
equipment — Hologic, head-
quartered in Massachusetts,
Suros, in Indianapolis and
GRANDXRAY in Grand Rapids
— sponsored the event.
Spotted in the crowd were
Shelly Boschan, Susie Sills and
Merle Solway, all of Bloomfield
Hills; Sinai Guild Executive
Director Sandra Jaffa of West
