ISAAK SAPIR, 86, of Southfield, died
Jan. 2.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Mera; son and daughter-in-law,
Grigory and Ellen Sapir of West
Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-law,
Elizabeth and Mikhail Zaretsky of
Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren, Paul
Sapir, Allan Zaretsky, Daniel Zaretsky.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

MELVIN SIEGEL, 61, of Farmington
Hills, died Dec. 31.
He is survived by his sons, David
Siegel of Plymouth and Matthew Siegel
of Plymouth; sister, Marcia Meisel of
Southfield. He was the son of the late
Harry and Esther Siegel.
A memorial service will be held
Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at the
Doilman Chapel, 30440 Twelve Mile
Road, Farmington Hills. The family
will be gathering through that evening
at the residence of David Meisel and
Andrea Eisenberg, 7271 Kingswood,
Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301.
Contributions may be made to the
Michigan Humane Society, 1110 E.
Avon, Rochester Hills, MI 48307; the
Holocaust Memorial Center, 6602 W.
Maple Rd., West Bloomfield, MI
48322 or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by the Dorfman Chapel.

ANN C. SMITH, 89, of Delray
Beach, Fla., died Jan. 4.
She was an automotive
bookkeeper. A seam-
stress who crafted time-
out dolls, she also
enjoyed needlepoint,
knitting and crocheting.
In addition to enjoying
baking, Mrs. Smith was Ann Smith
the family historian
and compiled a family
tree.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and
Stanley Bass of Florida; grandchildren,
Brian Bass and Amy Spilman, Andrew
Bass; sister and brother-in-law, Pearl
and Alan Leach of New Mexico. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Benjamin Smith; loving mother of the
late Lawrence E. Smith; dear sister of
the late Edward Chaifetz, the late
Harold Chaifetz and the late Carl
Chaifetz.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a chari-
ty of one's choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.
