He is survived by his sons, David Siegel of Plymouth and Matthew Siegel of Plymouth; sister, Marcia Meisel of Southfield. He was the son of the late Harry and Esther Siegel. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Doilman Chapel, 30440 Twelve Mile Road, Farmington Hills. The family will be gathering through that evening at the residence of David Meisel and Andrea Eisenberg, 7271 Kingswood, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301. A seam- stress who crafted time- out dolls, she also enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and crocheting. In addition to enjoying baking, Mrs. Smith was Ann Smith the family historian and compiled a family tree. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Stanley Bass of Florida; grandchildren, Brian Bass and Amy Spilman, Andrew Bass; sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and Alan Leach of New Mexico. She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Smith; loving mother of the late Lawrence E. Smith; dear sister of the late Edward Chaifetz, the late Harold Chaifetz and the late Carl Chaifetz.
