NATHAN SAKS, 79, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 30. He was the
owner of Saks Sales Company.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Stewart and Ehtel Saks of
West Bloomfield, Gary and Jody Saks of
Gaylord; grandchildren, Amy and
Robyn Saks. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Netty Saks.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be directed to the
Karmanos Cancer Institute.

SHIRLEY K SCHLAFER, 86, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Nov. 4. She was a
volunteer and philanthropist, a member
of Franklin Hills Country Club and the
Birmingham Temple. She was also on
the Board of Trustees of Beaumont
Hospital Foundation, a member of
Advisory Council of Common Ground
Sanctuary, a major benefactor to
Beaumont Hospital, Common Ground
Sanctuary, Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, Detroit Opera Theater,
Children's Hospital of Michigan and
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit.
Mrs. Schlafer is survived by her
daughters and son-in-law, Edith and
Barry Briskin of Bloomfield Hills, Lisa
Sherman of Bloomfield Hills and grand-
children, Andrew B. Briskin, Dr.
Susannah M. Briskin, Brian R.
Sherman. She was the beloved wife of
the late Nathan Schlafer and the dear
sister of the late Sylvia Fisher.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be direct-
ed to the Schlafer Cardiology Center at
Beaumont Hospital, 3601 West 13 Mile
Road, Royal Oak, MI 48073; Common

MARCY ANNE SIEGEL, 39, of
Farmington Hills, died Nov. 1. She was
a psychologist with Wayne Community
Living Service. She received her under-
graduate degree from the University of
Michigan and her master's degree in
psychology from Center for Humanistic
Studies in Detroit. Ms. Siegel worked
on the Clinton campaign in 1992 and
was an avid University of Michigan
football fan.
She is survived by her father, Marvin
Siegel of Lathrup Village; brother and
sister-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Siegel
of Huntington Woods; niece, Helene
Siegel. She was the loving daughter of
the late Helene Siegel.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
