Grants Aid
Jewish Programs

Jewish cultural and educational start-up
programs may be eligible for grants from
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit's Max M. Fisher Jewish
Community Foundation.
The Fisher Foundation was estab-
lished in 1964 to fund start-up costs for
innovative and creative projects that
enhance the quality of life for members
of the community. Interested organiza-
tions must submit a letter of intent to
the Federation by Aug. 11.
If the Fisher Foundation deems a
grant request is appropriate for consider-
ation, a full proposal will be due by
Sept. 22. Letter of intent forms and
guidelines for the Fisher Foundation are
available in Federation's Planning
Department.
While Federation's Annual Campaign
meets the essential budgetary needs, the
Fisher Foundation provides resources for
demonstration grants. Funding comes
from the annual grant allocated to
Federation from the United Jewish
Foundation, its banking/real estate arm.
For information or to request grant
guidelines, call Howard Neistein, (248)
203-1464.
