ATS Hires • Assistant Director Jo Rosen has been hired as the first assis- tant director for Detroit Chapter/American Technion Society- Israel Institute of Technology. The local offices are in Farmington Hills. Rosen is on the board of trustees at Temple Emanu- El and is the con- gregation's imme- diate past social action chair. She previously owned the Jodash Jo Rosen Company, which created, sold and distributed a hand-painted specialty line of clothing, and was co-owner of the Artists' Gallery, a cooperative for artists. Rosen serves on the steering committee of the Janice Charach Epstein Museum Gallery at the Kahn JCC Building in West Bloomfield. Fisher Jewish Community Foundation. The Fisher Foundation was estab- lished in 1964 to fund start-up costs for innovative and creative projects that enhance the quality of life for members of the community. Interested organiza- tions must submit a letter of intent to the Federation by Aug. 11. If the Fisher Foundation deems a grant request is appropriate for consider- ation, a full proposal will be due by Sept. 22. Letter of intent forms and guidelines for the Fisher Foundation are available in Federation's Planning Department. While Federation's Annual Campaign meets the essential budgetary needs, the Fisher Foundation provides resources for demonstration grants. Funding comes from the annual grant allocated to Federation from the United Jewish Foundation, its banking/real estate arm.
