ESTHER BERSHAD VO-
GEL, 84, of West Bloomfield,
died Feb. 25. Mrs. Vogel was a
paper goods secretary. She was
a member of the Jewish War
Veterans, Hadassah, B'nai
B'rith and its Women's Auxil-
iary.
Mrs. Vogel is survived by her
husband, Hymei Vogel; sons
and daughters-in-law, Stan and
Barbara Bershad of West
Bloomfield, Kenneth and Ilene
Bershad of West Bloomfield;
daughter, Carol Bershad of
Natick, Mass.; grandchildren,
Eric, Jeffrey, Amy, Sarah and
Ben Bershad; sister, Idee Gold-
stein of New York. She was the
beloved wife of the late Moe
Bershad.
Interment at Beth El Memor-

West Bloomfield, died March 2.
She is survived by her sons

beloved grandmother of the late
Karen Lisa Waldman.

beloved wife of the late Abe
Winokur, the devoted mother of
the late Jack Winokur and the
loving grandmother of the late

EDWARD WOLFSON, 90, of
Adventura, Fla., died March. 3.
Mr. Wolfson was a retail furni-
ture executive and a co-owner of
Crown Furniture. He was a
member of the Furniture Club
of Detroit.
Mr. Wolfson is survived by
his wife, Bess Wolfson and
nephew and nieces, Bert and
Lenore Basin and Marlene
Levitt. Interment at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park.

Leon Ilutovich

New York — Leon Ilutovich, 82,
of New York, died Feb. 15. He
served as executive director and
executive vice chairman of the
Zionist Organization of America
for almost four decades. He re-
tired in 1983 after a long career
of service to Israel and Zionism.
At the time of his death he
was a vice president of the Fed-
eration of Polish Jews and
chairman of the Polish Jewry
Memorial Forest in Jerusalem.
During his tenure at the
ZOA, Mr. Ilutovich was entrust-
ed with the direction of ZOA
projects in Israel and with
world Zionist affairs He was
also ZOA's official representa-
tive at the first Latin American
Conference of General Zionists
in Santiago, Chile.
Services were held in New
York City; interment took place
at Kiryat Schaul in Israel. He is
survived by his wife Rebekka
(Renia).

The obituary for Shirley
Sonkin (Feb.28) should have
indicated that she was the
dear companion of Joe Gold-
berg.
