JET was established to provide a stage for the exploration of ideas
that confront issues of humanity and community from a Jewish

nearly 10,000 students the opportunity to experience this important

The newest performance, Unexpected Tenderness, by Israel Horovitz, is

DEBORAH RANDALL
BORENSTEIN, 67, of Ann Ar-
bor, died Feb. 28. At the age of
16, Mrs. Borenstein enrolled at
Northwestern University and
Hebrew Teachers College. She
graduated from Northwestern
in 1950 with a bachelor's de-
gree in modern languages; she
was fluent in Latin and Hebrew
and studied French, Spanish
and Aramaic. During her youth
in Boston, she was active in the
Labor Zionist movement.
Mrs. Borenstein was a re-
tired Hebrew teacher. For more
than a decade, she taught He-
brew and religious classes for
Congregation Beth Tikvah,
Temple Israel and Columbus
Community Hebrew Schools.
She also was a supervisor at
Burke Marketing Research in
Columbus. She was a legal sec-
retary in Connecticut and Col-
orado. Mrs. Borenstein was ac-
tive in the Temple Sisterhood
in Columbus and Planned Par-
enthood and the Quad City
Club in Illinois. She was a Cub
Scout den mother in Columbus.
Mrs. Borenstein is survived
by her husband, Stanley Boren-
stein; sons and daughters-in-
law, Joseph Borenstein of San
Francisco, Nathaniel and Trina
Borenstein of Arm Arbor, Seth
Borenstein and Anne Marie
Reidy of Titusville, Fla., Eliot
Borenstein and Natasha Lipkin
of New York; grandchildren,
Jason, Barbara, Shayna, Leah,
Miriam, Donald, Teddy; great-
grandchildren, Chris, Andrew
and Jessie.
Interment at Arborcrest.

STUART BRADY, 45, of Cam-
den, Maine, died March. 1. Mr.
Brady was a restaurateur and
owner of Lobster Stu's in Cam-
den.
He is survived by his wife,
Evelyn Brady; mother, Judith
Brady of West Bloomfield;
brother, Alan Brady; mother-
in-law, Gloria Werner; broth-
ers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Jonathan Werner, Kathleen
and Philip Peyton, Elizabeth
Werner. He was the loving
grandson of the late Samuel
Goldman and the late Annie
Goldman.
