JOSEPH S. RODD, 90, for-
merly of Southfield of Tampa,
Fla., died March 3. Mr. Rodd
was a graduate of the Detroit
College of Law and, until 1993,
was the oldest practicing attor-
ney in Michigan. He was quali-
fied to practice law before the
U.S. Supreme Court and was a
member of the Michigan Bar
Association and the Oakland
County Bar Association. At
Adat Shalom Synagogue, he
took charge of morning minyan.
Mr. Rodd was a member of Con-
gregation Kol Ami in Tampa.
He is survived by his devoted
wife, Rose; son and daughter-
in-law, Alvin and Barbara Rodd
of Tampa; daughter, Sharon
Glen of Gaylord; brothers and
sister-in-law, Harold Rodd of
Northville, Sam and Thelma
Rodd of Southfield; sisters and
brother-in-law, Elsie Rodd,
Mariann and Jack Moore, all of
Southfield; grandchildren,
Steven (Sharon), Gary and Ja-
son (Becky) Rodd, Jeffrey Span-
genberg; great-grandson, Aaron
Rodd.
