MARGE KAPLAN MA-
HONEY, 75, of Fowlerville,
died May 19. Mrs. Mahoney
was an entertainer who partic-
ipated in numerous produc-
tions for B'nai B'rith and
Hadassah, organized chil-
dren's theater groups and was
active with DARE. She was
also a published author who
wrote two books.
Mrs. Mahoney is survived
by her husband, Fred; sons
and daughter-in-law, Skip and
Susan Kaplan of West Bloom-
field, Steve of Royal Oak, Ed of
Fowlerville; daughter and son-
in-law, Jackie and Michael
Kallen of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Bryan and
Stephanie Kallen, Brad
Kallen, Aimie Kaplan, Mindie
Kaplan; sister, Rita Radner of

ANNE H. MALL, 90, of
Bloomfield Hills, died May 18.
Mrs. Mall was formerly in
charge of accounts payable in
the automotive division of
Allen Industries. She was a life
member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, Hadassah and
Women's American ORT.
Mrs. Mall was the beloved
wife of the late Abraham Mall.
She is survived by her sister
and brother-in-law, Dorothy
and Robert Schram of Bloom-
field Hills; sister-in-law, Sally
Baron of East Lansing; step-
son, Jerry Mall of Florida. In-
terment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may

BARBARA G. MARCUSE,
82, of Southfield, died May 18.
Mrs. Marcuse earned her mas-
ter's degree in social work from
the University of Michigan
and her bachelor's degree from
Vassar.
She was a past president of
the Women's Division of the
Jewish Federation of Metro
Detroit, past president of the
Jewish Resettlement Service
and a board member of the
Quarter Club of the Jewish
Federation. Mrs. Marcuse was
also very involved with the Ec-
umenical Institute, past presi-
dent of Temple Beth El Sister-
hood, past board member for
Temple Beth El and was very
active with the Brandeis Uni-

versity Women and with the
National Council of Jewish
Women since 1938.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Philip R. Marcuse Sr.
Mrs. Marcuse is survived by
her son, Philip Jr., of Hunting-
ton Woods; daughter and son-
in-law, Ann and Richard
Young of Potomac, Md.; grand-
children, Christopher and
Charley Marcuse, Andrew and
Lisa, Kenneth and Dana and
Daniel Young; great-grandchil-
dren, Adam and Zachary
Young. Interment at Wood-
mere Cemetery. Contributions

LILLIAN MARKLE, 82, of
Farmington Hills, died May
18. Mrs. Markle was a retired
travel agent. She was a past
president of B'nai Moshe Sis-
terhood, past officer of the
Michigan Branch of Sister-
hoods, member of B'nai Moshe
Choir and an enthusiatic gar-
dener.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Harry Markle. Mrs.
Markle is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law,
Sheila and Leonard Gursky of
East Brunswick, N.J., Diane
and Dr. William Sarnat of
Granger, Ind.; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, Alan Markle and
Dr. Joan Campagna Markle of

SAUL RUBIN, 84, of Saraso-
ta, Fla., died May 20. Mr. Ru-
bin was a residential real es-
tate broker and founder and
owner of Summit Realty with
offices in Livonia. He was a

volunteer for Sarasota Memor-
ial Hospital, captain of district
for the Torch Drive, active
with Meals on Wheels in Sara-
sota and a Sarasota Music Fes-
tival volunteer. Mr. Rubin was
a former owner of Rubin Bar-
rel associated with Berky
Shops-Ladies Ready to Wear.
He was also active with the
Jewish Federation, board
member of the Jewish Corn-
munity Center and organized
Purim Carnival at Temple
Beth El.
Mr. Rubin is survived by his
wife, Ruth; son and daughter-
in-law, Robert and Judy of
Huntington Woods; daughter
and son-in-law, Linda and
Stanley Burech of St.
Clairsville, Ohio; grandchil-
dren, Joshua, Gabriel and Ari
Rubin, Erica and Denise Bu-
rech; sister, Rhoda Blondy of
West Bloomfield; brother, Irv-
ing of Birmingham.
