ALBERT SANDLER, 86, of

Southfield, died May 18. He
was the beloved husband of
the late Edith Sandler. He is
survived by his son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Howard and Cheryl
of West Bloomfield; daughter
and son-in-law, Arlene and
Mort Firsht of W911ed Lake;
brother and sister-in-law, Ben
and Elsie of Southfield; grand-
children, Cathy (Ray) Lam-
bert, Barry Firsht, Jonathan
(Michal) Firsht, Kevin San-
dler; great-grandchildren,
Sharone, Elana, Matthew,
Daniel, Benjamin and Alexan-
der.
Services were held at Mach-
pelah Cemetery Chapel in Fer-
ndale followed by interment in
the cemetery. Contributions
may be made to the Hospice of
Southeastern Michigan, 16250
Northland Dr., Southfield, MI
48075; or to a charity of one's

ALBERT SAXON, 84, of

Southfield, died May 15. He
was the beloved husband of
the late Babe Marshak Saxon.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Les and
Pauline of Southfield; daugh-

and Rick Wolpe of Scottsdale,
Ariz., Joanne and Steve Katz
of Farmington Hills; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Shirley
and Jack Zumberg of Oak

of Boca Raton, Fla., Ruth
Hoptman of Delray Beach,
Fla.; grandchildren, Jason
Saxon, Jason and Randi
Wolpe, Ariel and Michele Katz.

MYRON "MIKE" SPALTER,

69, of West Bloomfield, died
May 19. Mr. Spalter was an
optometrist and for over 20
years the owner of Belmont Vi-
sion Center on 8 Mile and De-
quindre. He was a graduate of
Northern Illinois College of
Optometry, a member of Con-
gregation Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses and Habonim.

Mr. Spalter is survived by
his wife, Geraldine; sons and
daughters-in-law, Ronald and
Betsy of Farmington Hills,
Richard and Joyce of South-
field, Mark of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Alison, Emily,
Sara, Molly, Noah and Madi-
son Spalter. Interment at
Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed

Middlebelt, Farmington Hills,

REBECCA STEIN, 90, of
West Bloomfield, died May 18.
Mrs. Stein was active with an
orphanage in Israel, the JCC
in Oak Park with the Yiddish
Group and also participated in
plays.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Harry Stein. Mrs.
Stein is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Lynn and
Dr. Sidney Leib of West
Bloomfield; son and daughter-
in-law, Leo and Barbara of
Oak Park; grandchildren, Dr.
Richard and Denise Arden, Dr.
Ronald Leib, Shoshana and
David Rubenstein, Jolee "Jojo"
Arden, Chaya, Sara and Mar-
cus Lehmann, Shua and Sara

double-spaced notice. Please
include a daytime phone num-
ber in case we need addition-
al information. Single-spaced
or handwritten letters will not
be accepted.
Out-of-town obituaries
must be in our office by 10
a.m. Tuesday for that week's
issue. They can be faxed. The
fax number is 354-6069.
