ISRAELI SING-A-LONG

When Clara Gabi of West
Bloomfield met singer Gabi
Berlin in Israel and found
out that he was touring, she
decided to try to bring him to
Detroit. She had trouble ar-
ranging for an auditorium
but Jewish community
shlichah Sivan Maas
helped her organize the
event.
"The evening was a great
success." said Nira Lev.
"Everyone had a wonderful
time, thanks to Clara's hard
work."
There was a huge turnout
from the Israelis in town.
Some of the Americans who
participated in the Israeli
sing-a-long included:
Shelley Jackier, Janie
and Iry Goldfine, Judy
and Aaron Goldstein.
