he 1992 commence-
ment services at Stern
College for Women in
New York was a family af-
fair for recent graduate
Susan Schlussel of
Southfield. Susan's mother,
Toby, is a 25-year alumna
of Stern and followed the
university tradition by mar-
ching in the graduation
ceremony.
As president of the Stern
College Student Council,
Susan sat on the dais along
with her mother and ac-
cepted the diploma on behalf
of the graduating class. She
also received the Professor
Nathaniel L. Remes
Memorial Award for
Character, Personality and
Service rendered to the
school.
Many Schlussel family
members shared the occa-
sion, including her father
Herschel; sisters and
brother, Debbie, Judith
and Irvin; grandparents
Isaac and Adela Engel;
aunts and uncles, Cillia and
Leslie Kleiman, Geet and
Herschel Wolf.
FASH BASH
Hudson's and the DIA's
Founder Junior Council will
present Fash Bash '92 on the
evening of Aug. 4 at the Fox
Theatre. Internationally
known comedian and juggler
Michael Davis will enter-
tain the audience. Fall fash-
ion trends will be
highlighted throughout the
show, along with dancers,
actors and models.
Details of this year's fash
bash were announced at the
recent press preview held at
the River Place Inn. Some of
the people in the crowd in-
cluded: Carolyn Levin,
Doug and Sydell Schubot,
Jonathan Holtzman,
Peggy Daitch and Brenda
Rosenberg.
There is a range of ticket
prices: $100 for patrons, $35
for mezzanine and main
floor seating, and $25 for
