Susan's mother, Toby, is a 25-year alumna of Stern and followed the university tradition by mar- ching in the graduation ceremony. As president of the Stern College Student Council, Susan sat on the dais along with her mother and ac- cepted the diploma on behalf of the graduating class. She also received the Professor Nathaniel L. Remes Memorial Award for Character, Personality and Service rendered to the school. Many Schlussel family members shared the occa- sion, including her father Herschel; sisters and brother, Debbie, Judith and Irvin; grandparents Isaac and Adela Engel; aunts and uncles, Cillia and Leslie Kleiman, Geet and Herschel Wolf.
