twinned her bat mitzvah at
Congregation B'nai Israel of
West Bloomfield with An-
zhela Abramova of Tashkent
in the Soviet Union.
Anzhela is the daughter of
Efim and Elizaveta Abramov
and the sister of Oksana. The
family first applied for per-
mission to emigrate in
January 1973; they were
refused for unknown reasons.

Marisa Rothstein

Marisa Rothstein, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Rothstein, twinned her bat
mitzvah at Congregation
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses
with Flora Komrash of
Odessa in the Ukraine.
Flora is the daughter of Ida
and Vyacheslav Komrash.
The family was refused exit
visas in April 1983 for
unknown reasons.

Daniel Victor

Daniel Victor, son of Judith
Dubin and Richard Victor,
twinned his bar mitzvah at
Mat Shalom Synagogue with
Isay Abaev of Baku in the
Soviet Union.
Isay is the son of Alla and
Vladimir Abaev. The family
first applied for permission to
emigrate to Israel in 1979.
They were denied visas the
same year and repeatedly
thereafter with the reason for
the refusal unknown.

Vitaly Grinblat, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Gregory Grinblat,
became bar mitzvah at Con-
gregation Beth Achim.
Lowell Dubrinsky, son of
Carol and Seymour Dubrin-
sky, became bar mitzvah at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Grant Winkelman, son of
Barbara and Eric
Winkelman, became bar
mitzvah at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
Marc Korchmal, son of
Shelley and Ralph Korchmal,
became bar mitzvah at Tem-
ple Israel.
Jonathan D. Heller, son of
Maureen and Dr. Robert
Heller, became bar mitzvah
at Temple Israel.
Jared Goldenberg, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Goldenberg, became bar mitz-

Shalom.
