David Louis Zeltzer of Natick,
Mass., has graduated from Ohio
State University with a Ph.D. de-
gree in computer and information
science, graphics and artificial in-
telligence.
Three months prior to receiving
his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Zeltzer was
appointed to the faculty of the
Massachusetts Institute of
Technology as an assistant pro-
fessor.
His wife, Judy Sachter, was
graduated from Ohio State Uni-
versity with a master's degree in
computer animation in art educa-
tion. Her master's thesis is being
published for use by graduate
students in university graphics
communities.
Dr. Zeltzer is the eldest son of
Mr. and Mrs. George M. Zeltzer of
West Bloomfield. Ms. Sachter is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Sachter of Ogden, Utah.

in hockey tourney



Joe Louis Arena will host the
20th annual Great Lakes Invita-
tional Hockey Tournament Dec.
28-29, featuring Bowling Green,
Michigan State University,
Michigan Tech and University of
Michigan.
Game times Dec. 28 are 5 p.m.
and 8 p.m., and game times Dec.
29 are 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
