Rosenbloom will be the

his devotion to civic, com-
munal and Zionist causes."
Guest speaker will be
Gale W. McGee, U.S. Senior
Senator from Wyoming.
Rosenbloom has been
Adat Shalom's president
since 1974. Born in De-
troit, he attended Central
High and Walsh College.
He is a member of the
Michigan Association of

tants and the American

Mr. and Mrs. Philip War-
ren hosted a leadership re-
ception in their Farmington
home recently and $340,000
in Israel Bonds were sub-
scribed in honor of Gerald
Rosenbloom, president of
Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The reception was a pre-
lude to an Adat Shalom Is-
rael Bond Tribute Dinner to
be held May 2 in the syn-
agogue. Guest speaker will
be the senior U.S. Senator
from Wyoming, Gale Mc-
Gee. Guest speaker at the
reception was Simcha Pratt,
Israel's Ambassador-at-
Large.
Participating in the lead-
ership reception were Can-
tor Larry Vieder of Adat
Shalom; David Pollack,
chairman of the Metropoli-
tan Detroit Israel Bond
campaign; Rabbi and Mrs.
Seymour Rosenbloom, Ger-
ald Rosenbloom, Ambassa-
dor Pratt and Mr. and Mrs.

Writer to Speak
for Israel Bonds
Journalist David Schoen-
brun will be guest speaker
at a cocktail reception and
supper party April 28 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Mer-
rill Gordon of Franklin.
Schoenbrun, long-time
chief correspondent for CBS
News, will appear at the
reception-dinner on behalf
of the State of Israel Bond
drive. He has been a fre-
quent visitor to the Middle
East since 1946.
Schoenbrun has authored
four books, his latest being
"The New Israelis," a survey
of the roles and attitudes of
the first generation born in
Israel since the establish-
ment of the state.
The event is a prelude to
the ORT-Israel Bond lunch-
eon on May 4 honoring Mrs.
Daniel C. Siegel of South-
field for her service to civic,
communal and Zionist
causes.

for Technion Group

Bridging the generation
gap will be the objective of
the Detroit Technion Chap-
ter's young adult division,
Louis Milgrom, president,
announced this week in ap-
pointing Raziel Rom, chair-
man of the recently organ-
ized group.
Rom, received his BS de-
gree in Industrial Engineer-
ing at the Technion, Israel
Institute of Technology. A
sabra and veteran of the
Yom Kippur War, he is
working for a master's de-
gree at the University of
Michigan. He was chairman
of the Technion Students'
Association during his sen-
ior year, at the institute.
Reaching students and
young couples studying and
working in the greater De-
troit area will be the Young
Adult Group's first objec-
tive.
