the engagement of their daugh-
ter, Eileen Gloria, to Don Kel-
ter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo-
dore R. Kelter, of Cherrylawn
Ave., Detroit.
The bride-elect attended Ohio
State University, where she was
affiliated with Phi Sigma Sigma
sorority, and is a graduate of
the University of Michigan col-
lege of education. Mr. Kelter at-
tended Wayne State and Michi-
gan State Universities..
Plans are being made for a
June 14 wedding.

Kottler Is Soloist
at Center Concert

Mischa Kottler, concert plan-
, ist, teacher and music director
of WWJ, will be soloist with the
Center Symphony Orchestra, un-
der the direction of Julius
Chajes, on Tuesday evening, at
the Davison?
Jewish Center.
Kottler, who
is also official
pianist for the
Detroit S y m-
phony Orches-
t r a, will be
heard in See-
thoven's Piano
Concerto No. 3
in C Minor.
Other com-
positions on
the program

er's "Euryan
the," overture;
Kottler
Dvorak's Two Slavonic Dances
and Smetana's "Sarka" from the
Symphonic poem "My Country."
The latter will have its first
Detroit performance.
The concert, according to the
Center, is completely sold out.

Older Adults Install
Simons Lounge Officers

Friendship Lounge, older
adult club of D. W. Simons Jew-
ish Center, recently had its first
installation of officers. Wolf
Smith is president; Harry Chal-
love, vice-president; Hyman Lif-
shitz, secretary, and Max Cohen,

hospitaler.

Members of the executive
board are David Horowitz, Sam
Ruben, Mrs. Fannie Grober,
Mrs. Ida Schulman, Philip Aron-
stan and Sam Hauptman.
Mrs. Edward Kahn, chairman
of the D. W. Simons operating
committee, and Mrs. Samuel J.
Caplan, committee member, in-
stalled the officers.

Vladimiritzer Aid Banquet
to Help Needy in Israel

Needy families in Israel will
benefit from the annual ban-
quet of the Vladimiritzer Emer-
gency Relief Organization, to
be held this Sunday evening,
in the Hayim Greenberg Cen-
ter, 19161 Schaefer.
Tickets for the event are
available from the co-chair-
men, Louis Rose, DI 1-2311;
or Philip Rossen, BR 3-6023.
Samuel A. Kayne is Vladimi-
ritzer president.

Miss Beth Weingarden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wein-
garden,- of Marlowe Ave., celebrated her sweet sixteen at a coke-
tail square dance last week at Springel's Patio Room, where
25 young couples were present to dance to the calling of Glenn
Eastman. •

Dr. Louis Gleekman and Mr. Ben Desenberg have returned
home from Chicago, Ill., where they attended the convention of
the National Association of Corrosion Engineers at the Hotel
Sherman. Both men participated in panel discussions along
with representatives from all over the world, including Israel.

Folk School Elects Harold
to Open at Masonic April 8

tique show, which opens for
three days on April 8, at
Masonic Temple.
There will be 55 dealers
represented at the exhibit,
which will have antiques and
collectors' items for all mem-
bers of the family.

2 pounds veal cutlet
sliced 1/4 inch thick

1 pound mushrooms, sliced

1 /2

cup Mar Pary

cup dry white wine

1 teaspon salt

Freshly ground black pepper
Brown sauce

Trim fat from veal and cut the meat into 1-inch pieces. Saute

veal in Mar Pary for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Re-
move from skillet and keep hot. Saute shallots and mushrooms
in Mar Pary remaining in skillet for 5 . minutes. Add wine and

simmer for 15 minutes or until the liquid is reduced one
half. Stir in brown sauce, parsley, salt and pepper. Add meat
and simmer for 5 minutes. Serves 6. -
