scholarship and loan fund cre-
ated for deserving members of

second grove of trees purchas-
ed by the DAVID - HORO-
DOKER YOUNG WOMEN in a
three-year period was present-
ed at a recent meeting by
Percy Kaplan, executive di-
rector of the Jewish National
Fund, and Mrs. Max Stollman,
president of th JNF Auxiliary
and herself a member of the
David-Horodoker organization.
The organization also sent 95
CARE packages to needy fam-
ilies for the Passover holidays.

Mrs. R. Rosenberg. A rummage
sale is planned for April 7, at

engagement of their daughter,
Sandra Gay, to Sydney Law-
rence Ruby, son of Dr. and Mrs.
John J. Ruby, of W. Outer Dr.
Miss Ginsberg graduated from
Forest Hill Collegiate, and at-
tended Ryerson Institute of
Technology. Mr. Ruby, who re-
ceived his BA degree from
Wayne State University, is now
attending the WSU law school.
He is a member of Phi Sigma
Delta and Tau Epsilon Rho fra-
ternities.
The wedding will be solem-
nized on June 22, in Toronto.

Father-Son Weekend
Slated at Camp Tamarack

Fathers and sons will have
an opportunity to participate
in outdoor activities together in
the relaxed comfortable setting
of Camp Tamarack, near Holly,
Michigan, at a Jewish Com - .
munity Center father-son week-
end, April 10 to 12.
The program will be planned
at a fathers' meeting Tuesday,
at the main center.
Camp is open to Center fath-
ers and sons, ages 6 to 12, with
registration on a first-come
basis. The Center cannot pro-
vide transportation to camp.

Masonic Temple Sets Programs

During the 1959 - 60 season
the Masonic Temple will offer
concertgoers a distinguished ar-
ray of the world's outstanding
virtuosi, orchestras and at-
tractions, announces C. W. Van-
Lopik, general manager.
The Symphoney Series will
once again be inaugurated by
the Boston Symphoney under
the baton of Charles Munch on
Oct. 25. On Nov. 2 the Cleve-
land Orchestra under the con-
ductorship of George Szell will
be heard. Itwill be followed
on Jan. 12 by the Toronto Sym-
phoney led by Walter Susskind.
On March 24, the Lamoureux
Orchestra, under Igor Marke-
vitch will - appear. This will be
their initial Detroit perform-
ance.
The season will close on May
4 with Eugene Ormandy con-
ducting the Philadelphia Orch-
estra.
The Concert Series will debut
on Oct. 9 with another "first"
for Detroit — The Tarkarazuka
Dance Theater of Japan. Fol-
lowing the Takarazuka will be
the appearance, on Nov. 13, of
the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.
The leading exponents of
Spanish dance will be seen on
Jan. 29 when Jose Greco and
