Mr. and Mrs. Jack Iden (Shirlee Rose), formerly of Ard-
more Ave., are now residing in their new home at 10005 Elgin,

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Prady, of Oak Park, have recently re-
turned from a trip to Long Island, N.Y.., where they visited their
children, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen. S. Cohen (Barbara Ann Prady),
and greeted their fourth grandchild, Roberta Lynn Cohen.
Mrs. Jason L. Honigman is opening her home on Wellesley
Dr. for a tea for officers of all Jewish women's organizations in
Wayne County at 3 p.m., Sunday. She will introduce her hus-
band, Jason Honigman, Detroit attorney who is a candidate for
Attorney General of Michigan, and Mrs. Lee Franklin Weinstock,
nominee for State Representative from the 10th District.

engaged in a special member-
ship drive. Meetings will be held
during the coming week by the

Louise Wise Chapter is plan-
ning a dessert luncheon meeting
at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, in
the home of Mrs. Eugene Agins,

Mrs. Paul Armstrong will speak
on "A New World Through the
United Nations."
An open board meeting is
scheduled by Northeast Chapter
at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, in
the home of Mrs. Harry Brown,

luncheon will be served, after
which Mrs. Irving Ackerman
will give an illustrated talk on
her experiences in Israel.
Schaefer-7 Mile Chapter has
planned a socio - discussion,
"Three Sons," to be held at
12:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the
home of Mrs. Edward Zimmer-
man, 18609 George Washington,
Southfield. Mrs. Samuel Gross-
bart is chairman, while parti-
cipants include Mesdames Saul
Horowitz, Norman Silverstein
and Alec Singer.
Brandeis Chapter, formerly
called South Central, will meet
at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, in
the home of Mrs. Meyer Zacks,
when a panel will discuss phases
of Jewish education.
Northwest Chapter's meeting,
also at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday,
will be in the home of Mrs. Al-
bert Tanner, 18301 Sorrento.
Norman Perlstein, of the JewiSh
Community Council, will talk on
"The New Arab Pitch to Ameri-
ca."
Currently being planned is a
special reception for new mem-
bers and their sponsors, to be
held Nov. 5, at the Frank Lloyd
Wright-designed home of Mrs.

Walter Klein Returns to Staff of Council
After an absence of two
years, Walter E.• Klein, who
served as associate executive di-
rector of the Jewish Commu-
nity Council for 11 years, has
returned to his former post.
During his absence from the
Council Klein was engaged in
the investment business and
served as a member of the
Council's executive and com-
munity relations committees.
Klein, a graduate of Ohio
State University, holds a Mas-
tens degree from Western Re-
serve University. He served in
the U.S. Navy during World
War II as an enlisted man and
subsequently as an officer, part
of his service being in Naval
Intelligence and Security. He is
president of the Jewish War
Veterans' Memorial Home Asso-
ciation; vice president of the
Greater Detroit Chapter of the
American Association for Unit-
ed Nations; former chief of
staff of the Jewish War Vet-
erans, U.S. Department of Mich-
igan; and a member of the
Citizens' Advisory Committee
for Detroit Public Schools. He
lives at 4308 Leslie with his
wife Esther and their five
daughters.
