Dr.. and Mrs. Henry Drezner,
of Trenton, N.J., announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Sheila Sue, to Cyril Freedman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Freedman, of Elmhurst Ave.
The bride-elect was graduat-
ed last June from the Univer-
sity of Michigan, where she re-
ceived a BS degree in zoology.
Miss Drezner, a member of Del-
la Phi Epsilon sorority, was
employed at the Sloan-Ketter-
ing Research Institute in New
York.
Mr. Freedman is a senior in
the U. of M. school of dentistry.
and is a member of Alpha
Omega fraternity. The wedding
will be solemnized in December
in New Jersey, after which the
couple will reside in Ann Arbor.

City Conference
Lily Beyrack-Cohen, director
of the Anglo-Saxon department
of the Ichud Olami (World La-
bor Zionist movement) will be
the guest speaker at the open-
ing session of the LZO city con-
ference Saturday night at the
Hayim Greenberg center. Mrs.
Cohen, who is a native of Eng-
land, is a well-known educator
and writer, and is one of the
leading figures in the youth in-
tellectual circle in Israel. She
has come to this country prin-
cipally to meet with and speak
to young adults interested in
Israel and Zionism.
The program will also feature
Harold Silver, director of the
Jewish Family Service of De-
troit, and a member of the La-
bor Zionist movement, who will
present his views on - the local
Labor Zionist scene.
A musical program will be
presented by Sadie Cooper Brav-
er, concert violinist who was
formerly music director of the
Jewish Community Center.
The meeting is open to the
community.
On Sunday delegates will
meet to hear reports from the
various branches and activities,
and to elect officers for the
coming year.

to Speak at Luncheon

be guest speaker at the opening
meeting of the Temple Israel
Sisterhood.

Mrs. Kasdan
will present a
humorous lec-
ture of cook-
ing, based on
her book. An
actress and Mrs. Kasdan
story-teller, Mrs. Kasdan is cur-
rently preparing a drama with
music in commemoration of Is-
ra el 's 10th anniversary.
Mrs. Albert Jaco, chairman
of the garden workshop is in
charge of a harvest fair display
to be shown at the workshop in
observance of the Sukkot sea-
son, and Mrs. Samuel Maza,
Judaica gift shop chairman, will
show a collection of antique
jewelry.
The program is open to mem-
bers and - their friends, an-
nounces Mrs. George Stutz, Sis-
terhood president.
