Slates Season's Events
A full calendar of activities is
planned by the newly-organized
Sisterhood of the Downriver
Jewish Community Center, be-
ginning with a luncheon on
Tuesday, at the Lincoln Park
Security Bank.
Also scheduled for the corn-
ing weeks are a toy and gift
demonstration, to be held Oct.
26 and 27, in the Allen Park
home of Mrs. Don Lewis, 14907
Englewood, a bake sale on Nov.
7 and a games party and fash-
ion show, under the supervision
of Mrs. Isadore Mulias.

Downriver area are invited to

The Sisterhood also sponsors
a youth group for 11 to 16-year-
olds, under the chairmanship of

Evergreen Parents
to Discuss Education;
Plan Musical Comedy
"Parents' Responsibility in the
Jewish Education of their Chil-
dren" will be discussed by Rabbi
Hyman Agress at a general meet-
ing of Evergreen Jewish Cong.

Plans are going forward for
the congregation's three-act mu-
sical comedy presentation, "The
Ace of Space," which will be
seen Nov. 4 and 5, at IVIumford
High School.
Under the professional direc-
tion of Stuart Piggins, who re-
cently completed a season with
the Ford Sunday Hour and 'pre-
viously served as musical direc-
tor of the Columbia New York
Opera Co., there will be a cast
of 55 men and women.
The choreography, under the
professional tutelage of Enid
Ricardeau, will include a chorus
line consisting of Mary Berlin,
Bertha Gold, Linda Krut, Gladys
Levine, Ruth Shafer, Molly Fein-
berg, Ilomay Jacobs, Maybelline
Greenberg and Renee Bliefield.
The musical score and direc-
tion are being supervised by
Artie Fields, with publicity and
public relations being handled
by Sally Fields. The only pro-
fessional entertainers to appear
in the show will be the Van-
guards, a local trio who have
Sung with the Don Large Choir
and made appearances at the
Michigan State Fair.
