- Lazar Shupakevitz, co-direc-
tor of the !Chicago Histadrut
Campaign, will be in Detroit
next week to address a number
of local programs aimed at con-
cluding the last stages of the
Histadrut drive here.
Shupakevitz will speak at an
emergency breakfast session for
the Detroit Landsmanshaften
Council on Feb. 17, and later
that same day he will be prin-
cipal speaker at a worker's
rally.
As the campaign this week
was assured of surpassing last
year's figures, work continued
to meet the established goal of
$250,000.
A large delegation of Labor

Midwest Regional Conference
.on the Middle East last Sunday,
at the Sherman Hotel, Chicago.

Appearing on Mike Wallace's

frankly replied to such pene-

her conversion she had finally
"found the answer" in her
search for "spiritual- cases."
Miss Roth • replied that "for
seven years the Catholic church
gave me great strength," and

To honor entertainer and humanitarian Eddie Cantor for
his devoted efforts in behalf of the economic upbuilding of
Israel, a national celebration of his 65th birthday will be held
at a special Israel Bond dinner on Feb. 16, at the Fontainbleau _
Hotel Miami Beach, Oa. The dinner, which is expected to at-
tract more than 2,000 persons from all parts of the country,
will be the highlight of the 1957 Inaugural Conference for
Israel Bonds, to take place from Feb. 15 to 17. The Cantor
tribute, which will be observed simultaneousy in major cities
from coast to coast, will focus attention on the emergency
campaign now being conducted to sell $20,000,000 in Israel
