A Stardust Cottillion for
Northwest teenagers will be held

Silverman, northwest teenage
activities director of the Jewish
Community Center.
Music will be furnished by
Sammy Barnett's Orchestra, and
a floor show will be presented.

Maimonides Women's
Luncheon on Tuesday

Highlighting the seventh an-
nual fund-raising luncheon of
Maimonides Medical Auxiliary,
at 2":30 p.m. next Tuesday, at
the Sheraton Cadillac Hotel, will
be a spring fashion show of
original designs by - Saks-Fifth,
Mrs. I: Walter Silver, general
chairman, announced this week.

country and in

Scrip, Soya Stores Plan
Joint Israel Distribution

A unique plan whereby ben-
eficiaries receiving scrip certifi-
cates through Scrip to Israel and
Soya Israel Stores, will be able
to redeem them in stores jointly
operated in Israel, was announc-
ed by., Bartley C. Crum, presi-
dent, and Irving Jaffe, vice-
president, of Scrip to Israel, and
Lew Shulgasser, president, and
Yechezkail Besser, treasurer of
Soya Israel Stores.
A complete network of retail
stores, which have been in op-
eration, will be available this
month to holders of scrip cer-
tificates of both companies. The
companies will pool their mer-
chandise and stock them in
their stores. The plan is ex-
pected to effect immediate sav-
ings, lower operational costs
and improved service to Israeli
beneficiaries. It is anticipa:ted
that prices of goods in the joint
stores will be reduced, thus pass-
ing the benefit of the plan to
the consumers.

Workmen's Circle PTA
To Hold Purim Festival

The Parent - Teachers' Asso-
ciation of the Workmen's Circle
School and Kindergarten will
hold its annual Purim festival
at 9 p.m.. Saturday, at 11529 Lin-
wood. .
Tables will be arranged in
cabaret fashion, while students,
parents and faculty present a
Purim floor show and conduct
community singing. D a n c ing
will follow.
Proceeds of the event will be
used tt, buy additional equip-
ment for the school classes. The
community is invited to attend.
