Mr. and Mrs, Peter A. Miller of LaSalle Blvd., left on Tuesday
for a visit in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and the Hawaiian
Islands.

guests last week on the occasion of their son Frank's bar mitzvah,

Event; Population
Trends Are Studied
To complete a population
study, the Women's Division of
the JAvish Welfare Federation
and to begin contact work for
the Jan. 31 Institute, members
of the office and promotion
committee will hold a breakfast
meeting at 10:30 a.m., Wednes-
day, Jan. 3, at the Davison Jew-
ish Center.
The office committee,/ under
the chairmanship of Mrs. David
Pollack, has been making a
study of population movements
by Jewish families.
More than 250 women have
volunteered 1900 hours of their
time in the past year. Hand-
addressidg, typing, filing and
various other services have been
provided by office committee
members to expedite the work
of the Women's Division. Serv-
ing with Mrs. Pollack as vice-
chairman is Mrs. Edwin M.
Rosenthal, Jr.
Mrs. Marvin Levy, chairman
of the promotion committee,
urged women interested in do-
ing work for the Division from
their homes to call WO. 5-3939,
to volunteer their services.
Organize Teen Groups
At- Northwest Center
Two new teen groups have
been organized as part of the
teen age program at the North-
west Extension of the Jewish
Community Center.
The Sunday young teen group,
open to all boys and girls 12 to
14, meets every Sunday after-
noon at 18677 Livernois.
Selgae, a club Of boys 15 to 16,
meets Monday nights at the Ex-
tension. Officers are Marty Kop
itz, president; Dave Buckland,'
secretary; and Mark Bean,
treasurer.
The Center's Northwest Ex-
tension, 18677 Livernois, is open
every Saturday night for .acti-
vities of teen agers. 14 to 18.
