Zeitlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al-
bert Zeitlin. Mrs. Zeitlin will
leave for Israel in January to
join her husband who is already
there. A farewell party will be
held at the Labor .Zionist Insti-
tute, 13722 Linwood, on Sunday
evening. Friends and relatives
of both families are invited to

JERUSALEM — Memorial ser-
vices honoring the 6,000,000 Eu-
ropean Jews who perished of
the hands of the Nazis were
held Tuesday—The Fast of the
Tenth Day of Tebet, commem-
orating the siege of Jerusalem
-4.n all parts Of Israel. The ser-
vices were arranged under the,
auspices of the ministry of re-
ligion.
The principal service -took
place on historic Mount Zion,
where Chief Rabbi Isaac Halevi
Herzog and representatiVes of
immigrant groups in Israel as-
sembled hundreds of objects
which had been fashioned from
Scrolls of the Law by the Nazis.
Rabbi Herzog and other par-
ticipants in the rites covered
themselves with ashes taken
from a furnace symbolizing the
destruction of the 6,000,000 Jews
who died for • "Kiddush. Has-
hem."
Chanting the hym composed
in the ghettoes of Europe, "Ani
Maamin" "I Believe," the par-
ticipants—led by Rabbi Herzog
—entered a "Cellar 'of Anguish,"
a cave on the Mountainside,
where they lit a specially-con-
structed 31 - branch Menorah,
symbolizing the 31 Nazi concen-
tration camps in which Jews
were put to death. Tuesday
was observed throughout Israel
as a memorial day for the vic-
tims of Nazism.

phases of service included among

JSSB, 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7,

tution, or with another family
for boarding care, or for adop-
tion, will be discussed at the ses-
sion on child placement. The
session on problems of adoles-
cence will consider difficulties
which arise when children enter
on the road to eventual inde-
pendence. The third group will
discuss problems of family living.

AMPAL-American Palestine
Trading Corporation filed a re-
quest with the Securities a n d
Exchange Commission for per-
mission to register a $5 000,000
issue of 15-year, four-percent
sinking fund bonds. The corpor-
ation will use the money thus
raised to invest in agricultural,
industrial and commercial en-
