Claudette Chocolates opened their 8th candy store recently
with an all day free candy party. A record crowd of 10,000 peo-
ple attended. Located on the corner •of Grand River and Griswold,
\. it is considered one -of the most beautiful stores of its kind in
Detroit. Thousands have been attracted by the outstanding win-
, dow displays and colorful interiors. It was designed by Louis
Redstone.

opened again, under new man-
agement. Chuck Mo, the new
proprietor, is well known as a
connoisseur of Oriental foods,
having over 30 years experience
in serving Cantonese style dish-
es. According to Chuck Mo,
China Grove Inn will specialize
strictly in good food and quick
service. Family dinners will be
featured, as w ill immediate
carry-out service and after-
theater snacks. It is open daily

Speak to Young Israel
Young Israel of Detroit will
present at the 4th forum in its
current series, Rabbi Israel Hal-
pern, of Cong. Beth Abraham,
and Mr. Hillel L. Abrams, exec-
utive secretary of Young Israel,
at 8:30 p. m. today in the Cen-
ter auditorium.
Rabbi Halpern and Abrams
will discuss "Our Youth; Our
Adults; Which Presents the
Greater Jewish Problem." Rabbi
Samuel H. Prero, director of
Young Israel, will be moderator.
A discussion period and an
Oneg Shabbat will follow in the
social room.
Boy Scout Troop . 210, spon-
sored by Young Israel, will hold
a Court of Honor at 8 p. m.
Thursday in the Center auditor-
ium. Awards and advancements
will be presented, and a pro-
gram of entertainment has
been planned.

five week trip to Europe and
Israel. Dr. Goldman, who is
making the trip at the request
of a group of Jewish communi-
ty leaders, will report on his
return on the latest develop-
ments in Israel at a number of
meetings to be held in connec-
tion with the 1951 campaign ef-
fort of the Associated Jewish
Charities and Welfare Fund.
