Masada Presents

Marshall Shulman

Marshall Shulman, press offi-
cer of the United States dele-
gation to the United Nations,
will be the featured speaker at
the Sunday, Jan. 15, meeting of

MARSHALL SHULMAN

Masada in the Shaarey Zedek
social hall at 2:30 p.m. His topic
will' be "Report from Lake Suc-
cess."
His discussion of the general
framework of the United Nations
will place specific emphasis on
the current Israel problem and
on the intrigues involving the
UN and the Jerusalem question.
A native Detroiter and a grad-
uate of the University of Mich-.
igan, Shulman is a former mem-
ber of the staff of the Detroit
News. During the war, he head-
ed the psychological warfare di-
vision of the OWI in Burma. Fol-
lowing the surrender of Japan,
he went to Manila with the War
Crimes Commission.
Upon his discharge from the
Army, Captain Shulman attend-
ed Columbia University where
he received his certificate from
the Russian Institute.
The - meeting will be open to
the public. Masada members will
be admitted without charge.

Gerald Dashkin,
Fellow Habonim,
Leave for Israel

Gerald Dashkin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Dashkin, is sail-
ing soon for Israel on the Ile de
France, with a group of fellow
Chalutzim, all members of Hab-
onim's Garin* Bet.
In Israel, Gerald will reside at
Kvutza Geva, in the Eastern
Emek, where his group will be
trained for agricultural settle
ment. Gerald has worked with
the Jewish Agency and received
scientific agricultural training
at Hechalutz farms located in
Creamridge, N. J., and Colton,
Calif.
Open house will be held in his
honor for friends and well-wish-
ers at the family residence,- 2692
Hazelwood, from 2 to 6 p.m.,
Sunday, Jan. 15.
