ior Division advance gifts • events on Sunday, March .27,
in preparation for the 1949 Allied Jewish Campaign.
The .first event will be an advanced gifts brunch at the

Wilshire Hotel at 1:30 p.m. The
second will be a dinner at the
Lee Plaza Hotel at 7 p.m.
Invitations went out this week,
and Henry Ehrlich, co-chairman
of the Junior Division A-group,
reported that the response to the
affairs was excellent.
Lerner, at 46, has made a bril-
liant reputation as a teacher,
editor, writer. He was educated
at Yale, and the Robert Brook-
ings Graduate School in Wash-
ington, D. C. He has taught at
Sarah Lawrence, Harvard, and
William, and now lectures at the
New School for Social Research.
Junior campaign division chair-
men and captains will be pres-
ent at the meeting of the Allied
Jewish campaign workers to hear
Abba Eban at 8:30 p.m. March 22,
at the Book Cadillac.
Following athe address. Junior
Division leaders will meet to
diScuss their personal participa-
tion in the campaign and to re-
ceive instructions on solicitation
procedure.
Kits containing solicitation slips
will be distributed at division
meetings to be held during the
10 days following this meeting.

Glenn Moore's orchestra will
provide music for the TEENS'
CARNIVAL and DANCE Satur-
day evening, March 19, at the
Jewish Community Center. Ac-
cording to plans announced • by
Sylvia Jaffie and Stuart Taub,
co-chairman, the front half of
the Center auditorium will be
devoted to dancing, while the
rest of the room will hold the club
booths, stunts and games of skill.
The Seven-Ups and the Teen Age
Dramatic Club will present
