Construction of a new school
building in the northwest section
of the city was voted by the
members of the Cannel Hebrew
School at a meeting March 10.
The school, which has educated
Jewish children in a traditional
fashion for 28 years, has gained
a reputation for service to Zionist
organizations such as the Jewish
National Fund, Haddassah and
Mizrachi.
Irwin A. Lawton, who founded
the school in 1921, is principal.

cruise on the S. S. Mauretania to Cuba and Nassau. Her brother,
Herbert, who attends Northwestern University, is expected home
this Friday to spend the week between semesters with their parents,
