Adopt Resolution
The conference unanimously
adopted a resolution setting forth
the following:
1. Message of greeting sent to
President Roosevelt and men in
armed forces blessing their ef-
forts in winning the war.
2. Pledge of loyalty in all ef-
forts to help achieve victory.
3. Greetings to armed forces
in Palestine.
4. Greetings to Histadrut on
its efforts to absorb new im-
migrants into productive labor
and on the progress it has
achieved during the last 20
years.
5. Protest against White Paper
which the conference condemned
as being contrary to the spirit
of the Palestine Mandate and
the Balfour Declaration.
6. Immediate abrogation of
White Paper demanded and sup-
port pledged to all groups en-
gaged in effort to prevent im-
plementation of destructive docu-
ment.
7. Wholehearted support pledg-
ed Histadrut drive and com-
munity called upon to double lbst

until the $75,000 quota is reached.
Harry Schumer presehted his
report as treasurer and pointed
out that a total of $50,884 was
raised last year at an operating
expense of 7 per cent. He point-
ed out that $13,483 was subscribed
by Detroit's landsmanichaften.

mittee, announced that 119 or-
ganizations enlisted as cooperat-
ing groups in this year's drive.

Herman M. Pekarsky, acting
executive director of the Jewish
Welfare Federation of Detroit,
greeted the gathering. He point-
ed out that the major sums for
Palestine redemption work comes
from the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, during the past two years
