In Double Ring Ceremony'

By EDITH GOODMAN

A little bit of this, a little bit of that—and behold, out comes a
delicious cake. Finally, after 11 years, I sat Mom down and received
the exact measurements of her recipe. Mom, Mrs. Jennie Fisher,
hopes that you will enjoy it. As a gal who has sampled it all her
life I know you will.

MOM'S CARROT CAKE

1 u2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch baking soda
1 cup grated carrots
teaspoon vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
7$ cup grated walnuts
1 :t orange rind grated
cup Mazola
Mix pinch of baking soda into ! ,' 4 , teaspoon vinegar, add two
eggs well beaten, cinnamon, car rots, sugar, walnuts, oil, vanilla and
orange rind.
Sift two cups of flour and baking soda, add to above mixture.
Use a square six-inch baking dish line with brown paper or
grease very lightly. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes, lower to 325
degrees for approximately 35 to 40 minutes longer.
If you do not want to frost cake, put lace paper doily over the
