At an evening ceremony June
22 at Congregation S h a a r e y
Zedek, Harriet Rosamond Aaron,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
S. Aaron, was united in marriage
with Clarence Salzberg, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Salzberg.

The bride chose a candlelight
ivory satin gown covered with
matching lace of Belgium ap-
plique. It was styled in renais-
sance pattern with tight fitted
bodice and long fitted sleeves. A
peplum of lace fell from the front
of the skirt in soft folds to form
the cathedral train.
She carried orchids on a Bible
streaming stephanotis.
Walter Salzberg served his
brother as best man and Marion
Ruth Pierce was her sister's
matron-of-honor. The bride's at-
tendants were Charlotte Pierce,
Mrs. Walter Salzberg, Gladys
Spear, Beverly Fogel, Mrs. Yale
Phillips a n d Ophelia Kessler.
Marcia Aaron was flower girl.
The ushers were Ralph Pierce,
Leonard Posner, Eliot Perlman,
Gilbert Plotnick, Gerlad Gotthelf
and Morris Moogerman.
The couple is honeymooning in
California.

The Sisters of Zion Mizrachi
held a lawn party on June 22 at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. S.
Edelman. Mrs. Isaac Rosenthal
was chairman of the affair which
was attended by more than 200
members.

Detroit Girl Wins Two
Awards at Anderson

STAATSBURG-ON-HUDSON,
N. Y.—(Special)—Frances Gold-
berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Goldberg, 173201 North-
lawn, was graduated with two
major awards from the Anderson
School at commencement exer-
cises held June 24.
She received the Fellowship
Award given annually to a girl
for outstanding contribution to
the school and student body; also
the Journalism Key presented
each year to the student who has
made outstanding contributions
to student publications.

The engagement of Joan Blum-
enthal, daughter of Mrs. Rae
Blumenthal of Shaker Heights,
Ohio, and the late Mr. Max
Blumenthal, to Yale Arfa, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Arfa, of Blaine
avenue, was announced at a din-
ner party given by Mrs. Blumen-
thal.
Miss Blumenthal attended Ohio
State University and Mr. Arfa
attended Wayne University.
