Latin American
War 'Policies
"Latin-America and the War" will
be discussed by representatives from
six Latin American countries at the
meeting of the International R~ela-
tions Club at 7:30 p.m. today in'Room
231, Angell Hall.
Speaking at the first of two meet-
ings on the subject are J. Albert Bar-
reda of Peru, Miss Ofelia Mendoza of
Honduras, Dr. A. Mattos Pimenta, of
Brazil, Dr. Raymond Poux of Haiti,
Mrs. Humberto Puchev of Mexico and
Jorge A. Simonelli of Argentina.
After short talks by the guest
speakers, the group will participate in
a question and discussion period. The
Good Neighbor Policy, measures of
political cooperation among the Latin
American states, problems of hemis-
pheric defense and post-war coopera-
tion among the Americas will be con-
sidered.
Bonds To Be Sold
in Cashier's Office
War bond purchases may now be
made at the Cashier's in South Wing,
according to R. G. Griffith, associate
investment officer for the University.
Recent approval of University sales
by the Federal Reserve Board will
convenience war bond purchase in
connection with the University's vol-
untary payroll-savings plan, and by
individuals because of a lack of con-
gestion experienced in banks.

STUDY CLUB TO; MEET

A University ROTC request for
1,000 wooden rifles was rejected yes-'
terday by the State Defense Finance
Committee. ROWC officials asked for
3,750 to supplement their supply of:
training stock.

The Gra~duate Study Club of the
speech department will meet at 4 p.m.
today in the East Council, Room of
the Rackham Building.
The meeting will be given over to
the field of-.speech science.
