Ann Arbor Co-op Society
To Open New Grocery
The Ann Arbor Cooperative Soci-
ety has taken a step toward greater
expansion with the purchase of the
property on the northeast corner of
South Main and Mosely streets, A. K.
Stevens, of the English department,
a member of the cooperative, an-
nounced yesterday.
Included in the purchase were the
warehouse and gas station on Main
Street and a factory building and
coal yards on Mosely, Mr. Stevens
said. The warehouse will be remod-
eled, to house a modern grocery and
meat market.
Increased storage space, Mr. Stev-
ens disclosed, will enable the society
to serve the needs of student co-ops.

Ethel Barrymore To Give
'White Oaks' Here May 10
Ethel Barrymore, noted actress of
the stage and cinema, will appear in
Ann Arbor on Wednesday, May 10,
at the Michigan Theatre for a single
performance of the stage success,
"White Oaks," it was announced yes-
terday.
Miss Barrymore has appeared in
such noted motion pictures as "Ras-
putin and the Empress"
