T HE MICHIGAN DAILY TVESDAY, APR 1 9 it, 1939 Ann Arbor Co-op Society To Open New Grocery The Ann Arbor Cooperative Soci- ety has taken a step toward greater expansion with the purchase of the property on the northeast corner of South Main and Mosely streets, A. K. Stevens, of the English department, a member of the cooperative, an- nounced yesterday. Included in the purchase were the warehouse and gas station on Main Street and a factory building and coal yards on Mosely, Mr. Stevens said. The warehouse will be remod- eled, to house a modern grocery and meat market. Increased storage space, Mr. Stev- ens disclosed, will enable the society to serve the needs of student co-ops.
