With the total amount subscribed to
the Community Fund standing at
$37,000, the Community Fund associa-
tion has decided to take further steps
to reach the sum of $45,600, the quota
set at the beginning of the campaign.
Names of contributors are being
ta bulated and as soon as this work
is completed a special detail of 50
workers will call on those who were
not solicited in the first drive. No one
who has subscribed will be solicited
again. Henry W.' Douglas, president
of the Community Fund association,
states that the task of listing the
names will be finished by the end or'
the week and at that time the secon-
dary campaign will be started.

FRESHMAN GIRLS COMPLETE
PLANS FOR ANNUAL SPREAD
Final arrangements for the fresh-
man spread were completed at a meet-
ing of the committee chairmen yes-
terday.
Decorations will be of pale green
crepe-paper streamers running from
a central cluster of many-colored bal-
loons to the sides of the walls, which
will have balloons strung along their.
length.
The favor dance, will be combined
with the grand march to eliminate
the necessity of making everybody
form in line twice. The favors will
be distributed to the freshmen by thcj
sophomores at the end of the march.
The rest of the evening will be de-
voted to dancing, the music to be pro-
vided by Ted Bennetts' orchestra. Re-
freshments of wafers and punch will
be served.

Assistant Coach George Little, who
had previously signified his intention
of speaking, was unable, to be pres-
ent, due to the pep meeting. Several
songs were rendered by the Midnight
Sons' quartette.

ing session today of the A. A. U. con-

Physics Colloquim Holds Meeting
"Recent Advances in the Infra-red"
was the subject discussed at the Phys-
ics colloquium held yesterday after-
noon in the physics laboratory.
The program yesterday was a con-
tinua'tion of the subject of the last
meeting, and was presented by Prof.
C. F Meyer, D. W. Bronk, and J. P.
Cooley, of the physics department.
Violin and Saxophone Players Wanted
Tryouts for the group of saxophone
and violin players which is to .ac-
company the Union opera on its road
trip during Christmas vacation will

Sigma Delta Chii Meeting Postponed
Sigma Delta Chi, which was to have
held its regular bi-weekly session
