schools will speak Tuesday night, Dec.
13, before the Men's Educational club
on his organization of the bureau.
"This vocational bureau is practical-
ly a new phase in public school sys-
tems and as worked out in Detroit by
Professor Filbey is by far the best of
its kind in the United States," is the
opinion of Prof. George Myers, of the
department of vocational education.
Under Professor Filbey's direction
the vocational bureau was organized
to provide positions for every gradu-
ate of the Detroit schools, both inter-
mediate and high schools, who applies
for a position. The bureau is also
prepared to give vocational advice and
assistance to Detroit school students.
At present the bureau comprises a
working corps of more than 15 mem-
bers. It is to be considered the 'con-
necting link' between the scholastic
and commercial worlds. Professor
Filbey will return to the University
of Chicago the first of January. His
successor will be chosen from school
men of Detroit, or possibly a member
of the University department of edu-
cation.

Many Members
All "M" club men, and Michigamua
members wil automatically become
members of the organization. Besides
these the membership will be made up
of 74 non-fraternity men, half Juniors
and half seniors, and of two repre-
sentatives from each fraternity and
house club.
The functions of the organization
are to co-operate with the Student
council and other representative or-
ganizations, and to undertake any ac-
tivities which are conducive to the
better interests of Michigan. It is the
hope of the boosters to foster a better
spirit of sportsmanship at athletic
contests, and to support all campus
activities such as band bounces, cam-
pus publications, entertainment for
visitors and to aid in upholding Michi-
gan traditions.
Non-Fraternity Men Chosen
The board of directors will be com-
posed of seniors, four fraternity and
three non-fraternity members. The
three non-fraternity members of the
board will be chosen by lot by the re-
tiring board at the close of the year
from the non-fraternity men who have
just completed their junior year. Fra-
ternity members shall serve by num-
bers as from a permanent drawing by
lot, each fraternity being represented
in turn thus forming a complete rota-
tion.
The board of directors of the organ-
ization will see that a fair and equal
distribution of duties among the mem-
bers is effected but any recognition of
accomplishments by individual mem-
bers shall be accredited to the organ-
ization as a whole.
