Every year at about this time, a
strange phenomenon takes place on
campus. After months of gray skies
and frozen emotions, spring appears
on the scene and with it comes an
epidemic. That epidemic is love, and
it hits hard.
All of a sudden people holding
hands and gazing into each other's
eyes start walking into people on the
Diag because they are too interested

going. They can't seem to let go of
one another long enough to do any-
thing. So what we see is a bunch of
zombie-like lovebirds wandering
around campus with goofy grins on
Because of this unusual phenom-
enon, I started thinking of all the
things that have been written and said
about love. Whole volumes are dedi-
cated to this crazy event that gener-
ally plagues everyone at some time
or another. But by far some of the best
comments on love are made by kids.
So I am dedicating my last column
of the year to love and what those who
hold the key to our future have to say

you should make sure you fall in love

Jenny, age eight
Jenny obviously has a lot to learn
about the sting of Cupid's arrow. If
love were supposed to be painless,
Cupid would just send chocolate, and
even then we'd have to worry about
the extra calories.
