League Ann
The first annual all-University
art show and auction will be held
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday on
the lawn between the Diag and
Mason Hall,
Sponsored by the League, this
unique event is open to everyone
at the University. Any type of
art work may be submitted.
The works will be displayed
from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. At this
time the auction will begin. All
profits go entirely to the person
submitting the entry.
Art work will be collected from
11 a.m., to 2 p.m. today and to-
morrow in the lobby of the archi-
tecture and design school. Entries
also may be brought to the under-
graduate offlice of the Women's
League.

Workshop«. .
The Union will present a par-
liamentary -procedures workshop
at 3:30 p.m. Monday, It will be
held in rooms 3K, 3L and 3M of
the Union.
The speaker will be Prof. N.
Edd Miller of the speech depart-
ment, whose topic will be basic
business meeting procedures.

ounces Art Show, Auction

The workshop is open to all
students. According to Mike Bal-
galy, '62, chairman of the Alumni-
Faculty Committee, the conference
is an excellent opportunity for offil-
cials of all organizations to brush
up on parliamentary procedures.'
Following the workshop, re-
freshments will be served.

Debate Team .
The University debate team
claimed the second highest amount
of points scored at the Western
Conference Debate Meet last week-
end.
Albert Fowerbaugh, '62, received
a superior rating for his skillful
debating.
The conference was held in Iowa
City, Iowa.
Mom 's Weekend. .
Girls in Hinsdale and Angell
Houses of Alice Lloyd have in-
vited their mothers to attend a
"Mom's Weekend" program which
begins this evening in their dor-
mitory.
Over 100 mothers will spend the
weekend with their daughters and

participate in a program of speci-
ally planned events.
Special guests at the banquet
wi l include Mrs. Harlan Hatcher
and Assistant Dean of Women
Gertrude E. Mulhollan.
Union Plans
Conference
This year's Student - Faculty -
Administration Conference will be
held at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the
Union.
The conference will begin with
a short informal meeting of all
delegates in the third floor con-
ference room. Regent Donald
Thurber will deliver the introduc-
tory address at this time.
After this, the delegates will be
divided into three groups. The
three areas of discussion are: "Is
our foreign student program valu-
able?" "Is a college education
worth while?" and "How does the
size of the university affect the
student-faculty relations?"

Panhellenic
Constitution
A mended
Panhellenic Association amended
its constitution yesterday to give
associate members a vote on all
matters not pertaining specifically
to houses.
The move is part of a general
effort to coordinate the activities
of associate sororities with Pan-
hellenic.
Associate members, according to
Panhel regulations, are those
sororities which do not have a
house. Thus any new group which
organizes as a sorority and works
toward recognition by Panhellenic
is an associate until it becomes a
living unit on campus.
The two associate sororities cur-
rently at the University have pre-
dominantly Negro membership.
Phi Sigma Sigma held associate
status until 1958, when members
moved into the sorority's house.
Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta
Sigma Theta, the two associates,
will correlate their rushing pro-
cedure with regular rush. This
program is still in the planning
stage, but some suggestions are to
have those interested in associate
rush participate in the rushing
mass meeting in December, to
provide facilities in the League
Ballroom for associate rushees to
pick up their invitations; and to
hold the two rushes simultaneous-
ly so that pledging ceremonies
would be held the same day.
"This amendment was designed
not only to accommodate the as-
sociate sororities now on campus,
but with regard to expansion of
the sorority system at Michigan
in the future," Panhellenic Presi-
dent Barb Greenberg, '61, com-
mented.
"Any new group on campus,
while seeking recognition as a
sorority with full Panhellenic
privileges, would be an associate
member for a while.
