Th "Tribute to Black Women Community aders" i a
three-year-?ld program o� the National Coun il of Negro
Women designed to recognize and pay tribute to the historical
legacy of Black women as community leaders. Six national
leaders were lected by the NCNW and program sponsor, the

organized t� "Inter n rational Forum" to bring together the
commu�lty �de and youth to xchange id and provide
supportive 1 tanee; and Joann ichols Watson the execu-
tive director of the troit f AACP who works with battered
women and laid off auto workers.
