JULIUS ROSS, 94, of
West Bloomfield, died
Dec. 28, 2018.
He is survived
by his beloved wife,
Doris Ross; son and
daughter-in-law,
Randy and Beverly Ross; daughters
and sons-in-law, Debby and Bruce
Podolsky, Shelley and Charles
Bassin, Jodi and Howard Mertz;
Doris’
children, Franci and Larry
Silver, Julie and Bill Keown, Paul
and Dana Shanbrom; many loving
grandchildren and great-grandchil-
dren; many loving nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
Mr. Ross was the beloved hus-
band of the late Gloria Ross.
Interment was held at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton
Township. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one’
s choice.

MELVIN SHAW, 82,
of Birmingham, died
Dec. 14, 2018.
He was proud of
having been born
in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was a renowned
physicist, caring psychologist, bon
vivant, gourmand, lover of Yiddish
humor and music. A passionate
humanitarian, he loved life and will
be lovingly remembered.
Mr. Shaw was the cherished
father of Adam Shaw, and Evan
Shaw and Lianne Paskel; loving
grandpa of Briahna Shaw, Dustin
Shaw, Avarose Shaw and Jesse Shaw,
and Jackson and Harrison Shaw;
dear brother of Carolyn (the late
John) Jacoby; beloved husband of
the late Bernetta “Bunny” Miller
Shaw; loving partner for more than
six years of Marcia Kahn.
He was predeceased by his former
wife and mother of his children,
Carol Shaw.
