Kozlowski
Max Charlip
Erika (Mandell) and Nicholas Kozlowski of Kansas City,
Mo., are thrilled to announce the birth of their second son,
Corey Logan. Corey is the younger brother to Connor.
Proud grandparents are Donna and Sanford Mandell of
Farmington Hills, and Laura and Bill Kozlowski of Kansas
City. Corey is the great-grandson of Dolores Mandell of
West Bloomfield and Eleanor Watson of Dearborn. Corey is
named in loving memory of his paternal great-grandfather
Chester Kozlowski and his maternal great-great-aunt Lita
Friedman.

Max Seth Charlip and Aidan Ezra
Charlip will share the bimah at
Temple Israel in West Bloomfield
on Friday, June 1, 2018, as they lead
the congregation in prayer on the
occasion of their b’nai mitzvah.
Joining in their celebration will be
their proud parents, Jody and Ari
Charlip, and sister Hannah. They are
the loving grandchildren of Sonny
and Norman Cohn, and Sheila and
the late Eliot Charlip.
Max and Aidan attend Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
They performed many mitzvah
projects but each felt one was most
rewarding; for Max, it was raising
funds and awareness of Crohn’s
Disease through participation in
the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation
Walk with Team Max and Aidan. For
Aidan, it was volunteering at the
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield
in the sports program.

Maxwell is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School. As part of his
most rewarding mitzvah project,
he played two violin performances
for the residents at Sunrise Senior
Living Center of Bloomfield Hills.

Ruby is a seventh-grader at Norup
International School in Oak Park.
She volunteered with the Georgia
Street Community Collective for her
mitzvah project, where she helped
young kids with homework as well
as helped to care for the community
garden.

June 2, 2018, at

Southfield. He will be joined in cele-
bration by his proud parents, Anessa
and David Kramer, along with his
brother Sam Kramer. Max is the
grandson of Zina and Michael
Kramer, Jannette Hockenberry, and
Brenda and Randy Owen.
Max is a student at Birmingham
Covington School. Among his
mitzvah projects, he spent his 13th
birthday volunteering for the Suite
Dreams Project to help raise money
to transform the bedrooms of chil-
dren who need rest and recovery
during or after a serious illness.

Darin is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Among his mitz-
vah projects supporting those in
need in our community, he found
it most rewarding to visit and play
games with JARC residents in their
homes.

Hatorah on May 27,
2018. Participating
in the ceremony
were her parents,
Erin and Glenn
Pavey, and her
brother Ethan.
Proud grandparents are Janice and
Richard Cherkasky of Franklin, and
Iris and Stephan Pavey of Delray
Beach, Fla.
Rachel is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham. Her
mitzvah projects include participat-
ing in Mitzvah Days by feeding the
homeless and bringing cheer to the
seniors at local senior centers.

As part of her mitzvah project, she
enjoyed playing bingo with the older
adults at the Fleischman Residence
in West Bloomfield.
