He was a man
for all seasons.
Born in the Bronx,
N.Y., to Morris and
Putterman
Lillian, he later
settled in Roslyn
Heights, N.Y.,
with his own fam-
ily before relocating to Pompano
Beach, Fla., for the last 21 years of
his life.
As a young man, this gifted
baseball player played ball region-
