JOANNE ADLER, 85, of White
Lake, died Sept. 4, 2017.
She is survived by her son,
Michael Lewis; daughter and
son-in-law, Deborah and Harold
Weinenger; grandchildren, TJ
Weinenger, Richard Lewis, Brian
Lewis and Steven (Rachel) Lewis;
great-grandchildren, Patrick,
Cole, Grace, Hailey and Maverick;
devoted nephew, Dr. Charles
(Judith) Domstein; many other
family members and friends.
Mrs. Adler was the beloved wife
of the late Theodore Adler; the sis-
ter of the late Eleanor Domstein.
Interment took place at
Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
Contributions may be made
to a charity of one’s choice.

65, of West
Bloomfield, died
Sept. 6, 2017.
An active
participant at
Temple Shir
Shalom, Terry
Alpert
helped organize
Temple func-
tions. He partici-
pated in the Temple’s brotherhood
activities and was also a member
of B’nai B’rith and its bowling
leagues.
He loved anything to do with
family. He owned and ran the fam-
ily business, Admiral Auto Parts.
He then worked at Federal Mogul
for many years and also owned
Asset Recovery Services, an auto
supply business.
Mr. Alpert was the beloved
husband for more than 38 years
of Ilene Alpert; devoted father of
Sharon (Alex) Minkin of Bloomfield
Hills and Carly (Rachel) Alpert
of San Diego, Calif.; cherished
brother of Lee (Arlene) Alpert of
Northridge, Calif.; dear brother-
in-law of Fran (Leonard) Kurland,
and Lori (Steven) Weisberg; trea-
sured uncle of Brett Alpert, Scott
(Nancy) Alpert, Michelle (Troy)
Geesin and Tracy (Dan) Pannuto,
Jessica Weisberg, Madeline (Logan)
Ostrand and Matthew Weisberg;
proud great-uncle of Atticus Alpert,
Adam Geesin, Maia Geesin and
Liam Bohlin; owner of his devoted
dog, Dakota Alpert. He’ll be missed
bymany other loving family mem-
bers and a world of friends.
He was the loving son of the late
Rogie and the late Simon Alpert;
dear son-in-law of the late Mary
and the late Joseph Schwartz.
Interment was at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery.
