KENNETH ROGIN, 79, of Royal Oak,
died March 28, 2016.
He is survived by his daughters and
son-in-law, Elissa Rogin of Royal Oak
and Jennifer Rogin-Marks and Stephen
Marks; grandsons, Samuel and Nathan

Marks; sister and brother-in-law, Ann
and Lee Alpern; nephew and nieces,
James Farber, Kim Farber Fillips and
Debi Farber Bush, and lifelong friends,
“his boys.”
Mr. Rogin was the loving brother of
the late Sandra Ouellette; husband of
his dear friend and former wife, the late
Susan Kurtzman.

DR. STEVEN S.
ROSEN, 66, of
Bloomfield Hills, died
April 1, 2016.
Born July 15, 1949,
in Detroit, Steve was a
high school track star
who won the county
Rosen
championship in the
high jump and was
the runner-up in the
180 yard hurdles. At the University of
Michigan, he competed on the track
team. As a varsity trackman, he placed
in many dual meets and several invita-

tional meets, and participated in the Big
Ten Championships. He lettered in track
at the University of Michigan in 1971.
He went on to graduate from Wayne
State Medical School and practiced radi-
ology from 1978-2006. He was a starter
for the U.S.A. basketball squad in the
35-and-over division of the Maccabiah
International Games in Israel in 1993.
He continued to be involved with
Michigan track as an official for the
University of Michigan track program.
Dr. Rosen is survived by his wife,
Evelyn Rosen; son and daughter-in-
law, Dr. Jason and Esther Rosen of
Washington, D.C.; daughters and son-in-
law, Marcy Rosen and David Eisenberg,
and Emily Rosen of Los Angeles; grand-
children, Lev and Joshua Eisenberg, and
Yossi and Ari Rosen; father, Benjamin
Rosen; mother and stepfather, Delores
and Jim Palazzolo; mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Maurice and Dorris
Chandler; sisters and brothers-in-law,
Esther and Lou Comaianni, Ilene and
Greg Bischer; brothers and sisters-in-
law, Jerald J. and Georgia Rosen, and
Sanford and Lucinda Rosen; sisters-in-
law and brothers-in-law, Debra Chandler
and Jona Goldschmidt, Gerald and Page

Chandler, Paul and Nobuko Chandler;
many nieces, nephews and innumerable
friends and family.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
